About Harold

Harold Cook is a New York City–based fine art photographer drawn to light, place, and stillness. His work explores landscapes and travel with a contemplative eye, capturing moments that feel both intimate and enduring — visual stories shaped by curiosity and a deep respect for beauty in its simplest form.

Harold's path to this work began in 1997, when he took his first professional photography job. In the decades since, he spent ten years as a field editor for Getty Images, whose stock collection still includes his images today, and his work has appeared in Forbes and Sports Illustrated. Along the way, he has photographed for entertainment and cultural institutions including Sundance, the Tribeca Film Festival, the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Super Bowl, and traveled for work across more than thirty countries and twenty U.S. states — occasionally venturing below the surface of the ocean or above the earth by drone, always chasing the same quiet sense of place. That range of experience is what now shapes the landscapes and travel images found in this collection.
